- Assignment from Thomas Ottley Esq. by the direction of Sir Edward Smythe bart to the Rt Hon Lord Petre and the Hon. Marmaduke Langdale and the Hon. George Howard, Esq. of £1000 which by an indenture of 16 June 1744 was charged on the estates of the said Sir Edward Smythe in the Counties of Salop and Durham, and Sir Edward Smythe's charge of a further £1000 on several messuages and lands, part of the said estate on trusts to be declared by an indenture to bear date the day after this, being the settlement made on the marriage of Sir Edward Smythe with the Hon. Miss Mary Clifford.
