Administrative / biographical background

The Lodge of Charity was established in 1810 and named in 1813. The Lodge was a military lodge and was held in the Jersey division of the Royal Military Artificers. In 1810 the lodge met at St. Heliers, Jersey, Channel Islands. In 1813 the lodge moved to the Freemasons' Tavern, Peter Street, St Heliers, Jersey. In 1817 the lodge met at the Green Dragon, Peter Street, St Heliers and in 1818 it moved to the Deal's Hotel, Peter Street, St Heliers. The lodge was erased in 1828.
