Particulars of sale of land and property at Bedford to be sold by auction by Stafford and Rogers Ltd (later amended to W & H Peacock) on 28 June 1912 (later amended to 6th May 1914) by order of the executors of the late John Nicholson. The 1912 particulars have been substantially amended in ink as a draft for the 1914 sale. The amended entries are given in parenthesis in the description below:

(a) 105, Midland Road, Bedford: Shop and premises occupied by Messrs T S Carpenter & Co (21 year lease from 25th Dec 1911) . Includes (forge) -oil house- and workshop

(b) 107, Midland Road: Shop and premises occupied by H Barfoot (24 year lease from 24th June 1903)

(c) 109 Midland Road: Shop warehouse and premises occupied by A John Ashton, grocer (yearly tenancy)

(d) Midland Road Post Office - 111 Midland Road - occupied by R Herniman

(e) 6 and 8 (8 withdrawn) Waterloo Road, Bedford occupied by (Miss Bell) and James Wilkerson respectively

(f) 14 and 16 Woburn Road, Bedford occupied by Miss Amy Walmsley and H T Negus respectively (withdrawn from sale)

(g) 2 Woburn Road, Bedford occupied by W C Cookson (vacant)

The 1914 amendments refer to the possibility of erecting a -motor garage- on the E side of the property
