Single-acting engine, with 13 inch cylinder, 3 foot stroke, chain connection.Set of numbered reverse drawings: 1 - general view of the engine, 2 - general view of the engine, outside front view, ground plan, top view of the engine and boiler (4 drawings on 1 sheet), 3 - ground plan of the engine and boiler, 4 - front and side views of the working gear; plans and sections of the cylinder, plan of the upper nozzle and spindle, plan and section of nozzles, working gear components, drawing showing positions of respective parts of the working gear - all reverse drawings.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 39. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 286.
Pumping engine, made by John Wilkinson for a customer in France. Southern's List of Books simply describes it as "Rochfort".
