Photographs donated by Miss Irene M. Lamb (d.1985) in 1970 and by Mrs. Pamela Blakeman on 1st March 1993 (for the heirs of Miss Lamb)

Irene Lamb was Secretary to two Clerks of the Peace, J.B. Graham and George Brewis. She appears in a group photograph of the County Emergency Committee and officials during the Second World War (see WARPV 1 or Z 216/31) and was also heavily involved in administration for the Lieutenancy and Shrievalty. In September 1980 she wrote a booklet entitled "Christ Church, Bedford. Origins and History".
