Bundle of 101 letters to James Watt. The letters were not numbered. There was no original bundle label. The letters had been arranged in chronological order and this has been retained. Any notes given in square brackets are by the cataloguer.
Letter 54 (22 Nov. 1801) appears, from the markings on the outer page of the letter, to have been the uppermost in a bundle and to have had a small square label, tied around the bundle.
