British Ministry of Supply Specs. E7/48 & U22/49. Extracts from GAF Brochure. 'In 1948 the British Ministry of Supply issued the above specification to cover the design and construction of a high speed pilotless target aircraft for use in the guided missile development programme.' The Armstrong Siddeley Adder ASA.1 engine. Full test report. Project B: The Armstrong Siddeley Viper ASV.2 engine. Full test report 'In parallel with the pilotless aircraft, known as Project B, Mk 1; a piloted version, Project C, has been designed for the purpose of flight testing, and to serve as a test bed for checking the automatic pilot and remote controlling equipment. Two Project C types were ordered in May 1948. The first of these made its initial flight in October 1950 and prior to being written off in an accident early in April 1951, it had made 40 flights for a total flying time of 15.9 hours. Trials are proceeding with a second prototype which has now completed 16.9 flying hours in 75 flights.' Appendix 3 is missing, therefore there are no details of the piloted version
