Description

A number of books, pamphlets, exhibition catalogues and journal articles from Oliver Millar's library were included in the transfer of material from his house to the Paul Mellon Centre in 2008. Over six hundred and fifty of these volumes were added to the Paul Mellon Centre Library collection. This is recorded in the Notes section of the Library catalogue: "From the collection of Sir Oliver Millar and donated by his family July 2007".

Notes and ephemera kept inside the volumes were removed and put aside to be added to the archive collection. This includes notes Millar made on the publication, postcards, correspondence, reviews and photographs. The loose material has been catalogued in this series, with reference to the volume it came from and a link to the library catalogue record.
