Description

Rec[eive]d 17 January 1790, ans[were]d 21 January 1790. [Has received the aerated barytes. Will perform the experiments but is about to begin stock-taking, so does not have much time. His brother John would like some specimens. Visit to Birmingham. Has seen Streiber ('our facetious friend'). Amused by an account of a visit by James Watt jr. and French refugees to Mr Johnson].
