Arthur Ashworth Ltd was incorporated on 4 March 1933. The firm was a chemicals, adhesives and tanning agents manufacturer based at Fernhill Chemical Words, Bury. In 1954 the firm was taken over by Walker Chemical Company. Unilever acquired the Walker Chemical Company in 1963. In 1964 Prices (Bromborough) Ltd was merged with the Walker Chemical Company to for the Unilever UK Chemical Group. Arthur Ashworth Ltd was dorman from 1964 onwards and was struck off on 1 September 1984.
