60 horse power double-acting crank engine, with [38¼ inch cylinder], 7 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.Reverse plan and section of the engine house, Feb. 1838; reverse plan and longitudinal section of the engine house, coloured original and reverse sections of the engine house, reverse plan of the tunnel, Jun. 1838; entablature beams and spring beams, air pump and condenser, parallel motion for the hot and cold water pumps, connecting rod, crank, shaft and plummer blocks - coloured reverse drawings; press copy sketches of plummer blocks and eccentric blocks, arrangement of hot water pumps with letter from Gilbert Hamilton to William Bennett dated 17 Mar. 1838, hot water cistern; small pencil sketch of the cistern; coloured plan of the engine sent by Wren & Bennett, Mar. 1838. The reverse drawings bear letter codes.
