St Andrew's Union Lodge received a warrant from the Moderns' Grand Lodge to meet as No. 590 in 1799. It was known as Lodge No. 10, Coast of Coromandel and met at Chingleput, Madras, India. It was erased in 1813 but was re-instated taking the then vacant place of Lodge No. 601 in 1822. In 1823 the Lodge united with St Patrick's Lodge, formed under a local Provincial warrant on 28 December 1812, at Fort St George, Madras and was henceforth known as St Andrew's and St Patrick's Union Lodge. The Lodge was erased in 1832. From 1801 the Lodge met at three locations in Ceylon, before returning to Travancore, Madras in 1809. The following year the Lodge relocated to Chingleput but moved to Colombo and Trincomalee, Ceylon from 1811 to 1820. In 1821 the Lodge returned to Chingleput, Madras.
