Deposited by the vicar of St Werburgh, 1972 and 1988, by the team rector of St Paul's parish, May 1997, and by Mr W G Harris, 1997-1998

Administrative / biographical background

Ancient parish: the original church in Corn Street was closed in 1876. It was rebuilt in Mina Road and consecrated 1879. The parish was combined first with St.Agnes and St.Simon, and subsequently became part of St.Paul's parish.
