Description

Thomas Charlton for £39. 16s. 11d. of Thomas Edge: Chiefly expenses connected with Hunt - small sums (3s. 6d. 4s. etc.) paid for horses (probably for flesh to feed to hounds); oatmeal; Wm. Dylkes wages, travelling expenses and providing flesh for hounds; 8 pair of dog couples at 1s. 4d. per pair, 10s. 8d.; a pair of polished swisles for dog couples, 2s. 6d.; a best velvet cap for the Huntsman, 16s.; a leather case for hares, 4s. 6d.; stuffing the Huntsman's saddle, 8d., etc. Bill covers period 9 Sept. 1779- 5 Sept. 1780. Also receipted bill of Wm. Dylkes for £1. 11s. 6d. for 6 weeks wages, 3 Jan. 1780 and receipt of Sam. Seavern for 5s. for a live horse.
