Description

RCP-LEGAC/2411/70. Norman C. King. Typescript letter to Dr. Ormerod enclosing advertisement of H.E. Smith; stating a registered practitioner had inquired whether he could employ him; and expressing view H.E. Smith was merely under misapprehension in calling himself L.R.C.P. when he had not yet passed in Surgery. 4 Feb. 1920.

RCP-LEGAC/2411/72. Copy of letter from Dr. Ormerod to H.E. Smith asking him to withdraw his advertisement as until he had passed the examination in Surgery he was not, as far as the College was concerned, qualified to practice. 5 Feb. 1920

RCP-LEGAC/2411/73. H.E. Smith. Manuscript letter to Dr. Ormerod repudiating any attempt to infringe the rules of the College; stating he had withdrawn his advertisement, and intended to find work as Surgery assisstant, dispenser, etc. and that his claim to considerable experience referred to previos work in this capacity. 6 Feb. 1920.

RCP-LEGAC/2411/74. Copy of letter from Dr. Ormerod to H.E. Smith stating that so long as he did not use letters L.R.C.P. and understood he could not practice without a Diploma, there was nothing more to be said. 9 Feb 1920.
