When the records of Wallingford borough were catalogued in 1949 and 1962 no records of the borough courts were found to exist for the years between 1561 and 1750. This volume seems to fill part of the gap in class W/JDB which contains Court of Record documents from 1750, as described on page 40 of the Wallingford borough catalogue.
