Depositions by
John Blackshall who has a house in Adlington Wood with common therein until "suche tyme as Mr. Chamberes came to his offyce"; Lawrence Greaves who with his father has had common in Adlington, and "loodes of wood in Adlington Wood" -- 2 loads of firewood at Christmas and at Annunciation, 2 loads of "trowessesse" delivered by the officers of the town, Humfrey Symone, John Greene & William Lowe;
Edward Hall who had common in Adlington Wood as did his father whose horses were wrongfully impounded for trespass there, whereupon his father tore down the gate and led them home; Lawrence Woode who had common in the wood;
Francis Jepson whose father's horses were impounded in Adlington, but who went no further in the matter after redeeming them, "butt did quyetlye nurys his entercommon ever synce";
Richard Echeles, age 80 years, who was servant to Mr.Downes grandfather for 28 years, and whose grandfather had common in Adlington Wood, and during his grandfather's time he "hath dryven and redryven, one gree cortall, bought of ould Stapleton" in and out of the wood without hindrance.
