The Duke of Devonshire writes of his son's role as Lieutenant of Ireland and not agreeing with Lord Hartington's opinion about the Chancellor of the Exchequer which was relayed in Lord Holdernesse's letter. He mentions the diffidence with which his son has been treated and various letters he has had sight of and have been sent from Lord Holdernesse. Unsigned.
