This series, consisting of a number of bound volumes and unsorted bundles, includes letters for various periods from agents, envoys and others in Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Iran, the Persian Gulf, Aden, Zanzibar, Bourbon and Mauritius, and the Straits Settlements; also correspondence with the Government of St Helena, and special collections of correspondence relating to Abyssinia (1867-71) and China (1839-52)
