Raphe Cowper, John Fygis, William Cotton and Thomas Torporley churchwardens of the parish church of Whittchurch, Salep, TO Thomas Lawley gentleman, son and heir of Beatrix Lawley eldest daughter and coheir of Gryffithe Hynton late of Hynton esq deceased

Griffith Hynton was seized of the manor of Hynton in the parish of Whitchurch inhis demeane as of fee, having as part of the manor one chancell in the said parish church called Saints Marie chauncell tyme out of memorie of man

The churchwardens give to Lawley the uppermost east or kneeling place on the north part of the said chauncell together with the 7th parts of the said chauncell for buriall or other use

In consideration of this, Thomas Lawley and his heirs covenantto pay yearly to the churchwardens and their successors a rent of 4d, and to repair the 7th part of the glass windows and the 7th part of the floor with tile. The churchwardens covenant to repair everything except the glasing and tiling.Warranty. Signatures of Cowper and Cotton. Seals lost
