Description (What the record is about)
-
This section largely contains photographs collected by Avtar Jouhl that depict some of the activities which he was involved with during the 1980s, together with a small number that probably date from the 1970s and 1990s. Most of these photographs relate to trade union activities, but there are also some prints showing Indian Workers Association members on a demonstration, and another set of prints taken at a Birmingham 'Troops Out Movement' meeting that Avtar Jouhl spoke at. The section also contains a video cassette containing a documentary programme on Chairman Mao, broadcast during the early 1990s.
