Folios 308-309. Draft letter from the Local Government Board, to C Wright [Charles Wright], Clerk to the Mileham School Board in the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union. They convey that the Public Works Loans Commissioners signed on 23 September 1878, a certificate for an advance to the Mileham School Board of £500 for the purposes of enlarging and improving the Board school. Under the duties imposed on the Board by the Public Works Loans Act, 1875, [38 & 39 Vic c89], in respect of such advances, they request to be furnished with a statement in the prescribed form, verified by a statutory declaration made by him or some other officer of the school board.
