The Clark family were members of the Society of Friends and several became members of the council in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Including, Diaries: of Ann (1828-1847), William (1837-1838), Susanna (1847-1857) and Richard Eckroyd Clark (1846-1847) Title deeds: relating to Braunston (Leicestershire) 1709-1802, Doncaster 1566-1883 Rawmarsh (South Yorkshire) 1611-1726 and Greasbrough (South Yorkshire) 1637-1716; Personal papers: 1744-1954; Voluntary Societies: Doncaster Temperance Society, pledge book 1842-1886 and minute book 1848-1860; Doncaster Auxiliary of the London Peace Society, minute book 1845-1851; Doncaster Ragged School, call book 1867-1891; Doncaster and District United Temperance council, minute book 1946-1956
