Administrative / biographical background

Mrs. Wright (nee Lamb) was born in Heyhead, Northen Etchells. She is in her mid-fifties. She went to Shadow Moss school, Heyhead. Her family were market gardeners on 'Muddy Lane', off Woodhouse Lane, Heyhead, (see deposit 1622/24). During World War Two she had a clerical job at Kendal Milne's in Manchester. She and her husband now have a general store and off-licence in Heald Green. Her mother, Mrs. Lamb was still alive at the time of the visit, and living with them. She is in her eighties.
