Description

General arrangements and lines plans, 89-1033 (i.e. 1905-1972). Not complete but extensive. Yard list and summary details of all vessels produced by yard 1883-1963 in M. Thompsons (Cook, Welton and Gemmel, shipbuilders of Hull and Beverley, 1883-1903, Hull, 1999.

Complete yard list to closure in 1975 in typescript.

Administrative / biographical background

Initially established 1883 on the Humber Bank at Hull, transferred to Beverley 1902. Most of the archives lost in 1975 at time of closure but series of plans acquired from C.D. Holmes (Engineering), Hull who were in charge of yard 1963-1973.
