Lieutenant Percival Edwin Owen Booth 14 Middlesex Regt attd 93 Company MGC
Born on 8/4/92 in Cricklewood, Middlesex and possibly educated at the University of
London. Son of Walter Scott Booth of 'The Rowans', Hazelmere Rd., Winchmore Hill. Went
to France with MGC. His father died in 1923 and his mother on 14/7/32. Enlisted in London
on 17/11/14 as No R/7272 KRRC, occupation Bank Clerk, height 5' 6", weight 120 lbs,
physical development good. Complexion fresh, eyes blue, hair light. Address as enlistment as
above. Discharged to commission 10/3/15. His casualty form for the MGC as 2nd Lieutenant
states that he embarked Southampton 16/5/16 for Le Havre. His commission application,
dated 1/2/15, states that he was unmarried, address as above, address for correspondence 7
Company 6th KRRC at Queenborough. Buried in New Cemetery just east of Colincamps.
Brother of Horatio Scott Booth. Returned to his parents were cheque books, photos, letters, a
New Testament, a book of postage stamps. (Officers Papers PRO)
