Including letting particulars and agreements re land at Swinside 1853-78, sale particulars of various trees at Swinside (Newlands) n.d., sketch-plan of field-drains at "Newlands Hesket" 1860, lawbills (2) 1878-79, 1853 - 1890
Also includes three admittances (Manor of Highhead) to house and its land, rent 4s.0d., 1854-64, and two admittances (same manor) to two closes called Town Head Field and Town Low Field, total 3a. 3r. 10p., part of a farm at Ivegill, both 1863; the 1863-64 admittances recite re the bankruptcy of George Rayson of Ivegill, miller, farmer, and horse-dealer (Dec. 1862) and that his assignees chosen by his creditors were William Harrison of Gaitsgill, farmer, and Isaac Ousby of Sceugh, yeoman, 1854-1864
Also includes Notice to the Vicar as owner of land to be crossed by the proposed Braithwaite & Buttermere Railway, including schedule of his lands as entered in the Parliamentary Plan and its reference-book, 1882
