Approximately 1, 900 glass negatives taken by R C F Schomberg during his travels. The negatives are currently being catalogued and conserved. Work in progress. When complete, researchers will only be able to access the copy prints generated.
See RSAA/SC/SCH/2/7 for a letter, dated 1951, from Schomberg to the Royal Central Asian Society, concerning the gift of three boxes of glass negatives. See also, RSAA/SC/SCH/2/54 for the collection of photographs by Schomberg held at Pitt Rivers Museum, University of Oxford.
