Gallantry Notes: MC: For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the attack on the final objective, on the infantry being held up by heavy machine gun fire, he brought a gun into action with great speed and effectively silenced the enemy gun. Thereupon, riding forward he discovered the direction from which the enemy snipers were firing and brought two of his guns into action in such a manner that all hostile machine gun and rifle fire was kept down during the final assault. Throughout, he displayed a coolness and an initiative which were most commendable.

Bar to MC: for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during an attack. He brought his guns up and mounted them in the open under heavy shell fire. Showing great coolness and ability he got his four guns on to excellent targets. He placed an enemy field gun out of action and inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy.;
