Gallantry Notes: Citation, bar to MC: For continuous devotion to duty in command of a company throughout the advance from the Fresnes-Rouvroy line to the river Escaut east of St Amand 12 to 27 October 1918. He supported the infantry closely. No opportunity for personal reconnaisance was ever lost by him and his guns were therefore always favourably placed for killing the enemy over the sights and for silencing the machine gun fire. He showed great determination, skill and boldness.;

name on the silver salver presented by Lt Col J Angell DSO,MC and Officers of the 8th Bn MG Corps who were serving in Flanders on Armistice Day 11/11/1918For your info Albert immigrated to Canada between the wars and in WW2 served with the Canadian Army, I understand that he became CO of 3rd Provost Company. He survived the war and became a very prominent Manitoban, and died in 1972 in Winnipeg.
