This catalogue of Additional Manuscripts (Add Mss) contains all those documents which were formerly catalogued and numbered in the Additional Manuscript series in the East Sussex Record Office at Pelham House, Lewes, relating to that part of the County which was united to West Sussex under Local Government Reorganisation
The documents concerned are almost all deeds of title, the earliest dating from 1368, but the collection includes manorial court books, maps and family papers
