Mrs. Horsfall (nee Parr) went to live in Moss Nook at 20, Ringway Rd. at the age of two in 1929. The houses had been built in 1927. She attended Shadow Moss school, and remained in the area until 1952 when she married. Her parents were from Manchester and her father moved to Moss Nook because he wanted to move out into the countryside, which that area was before the development of the Wythenshawe housing estate and the airport.
