The first album also focuses on the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, 1953.

Administrative / biographical background

These records are a part of an on-going collection of press cutting albums of Winchcombe, started in 1953 with the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. It is presently compiled by D R Bennett and was previously compiled by Bert Butler. The albums contain selected articles relevant to the community of Winchcombe. The articles are taken from the Gloucestershire Echo and, until it was taken out of print (1975), the Cheltenham Chronicle and Gloucester Graphic.
