Yesterday he was at Hawkstone - Mr. Hill and Mr. Price have fixed upon a place for the new farm house. Mr. Price had not finished his accounts in the manner they should be, but Chambre will help him, and he being willing to take more pains, they have adjourned the matter for a fortnight "and I will follow him till they are finished". He gives an account of the progress of work at Hawkstone and asks for Hill's directions as to the placing of the gates. He gives details of Mr. Wycherley's estate at Yorton and Broughton and Houlston which is for sale. If Hill is not interested, "I am to have lands of £134 p.a. and I mean the tenants thereof assigned to pay interest and work up the arrear due to you, but ye £134 p.a. is not to be soe clear but chargeable with taxes repairs.
