Family settlement between John and Elizabeth Sutton Ray of Heanor Hall, Rev G H Ray of Spennithorne, Yorkshire, clerk, Rev Henry Western Plumptre of Eastwood clerk, Mark Huish of Harlesden House, Middlesex esquire, and William Willis Bailey of Kilburn, mineral agent, by which J and E S Ray convey to Bailey upon trust all the mines and minerals under- lying property scheduled (Heanor Hall, yards, gardens, pleasure grounds, Shoulder of Mutton close, Flatts Close, Little Storth, the Pasture or Deans Close 27 acres 1 rood 9 perches; Summer House, land, gardens, cottage, fishpools and plantations 4 acres 2 roods 32 perches; Hurds Meadow Cottages and garden, 5 acres; several allotments under the Heanor enclosure award 1 rood 8 perches, 8 acres 2 roods 22 perches, 4 acres 2 roods 32 perches, 1 acre 2 roods 21 perches and 2 roods 3 perches; the Marlpool and Osier Holt 1 acre 2 roods; croft 2 acres; Big Field and other land 38 acres 3 roods 8 perches; Near Field and Turtens Close 5 acres 1 rood; part Near Field 2 acres 2 roods; part Near and Far Field 2 acres) to the use of J, E S and G H Ray their heirs and assigns for ever: the messuages, tenements, closes and parcels of land to the use that George Henry Ray during the life of J an d E S Ray may receive and take out of the premises an annual rent of £100 to the use of E S Ray if she survives J Ray; after the death of J and E S Ray to the use of Plumptre and Huish for 400 years to the use of the issue of G H Ray in whatever share G H Ray may direct; to be shared equally in the absence of such directions and in default to the use of George Henry Ray,
