Thomas Pennant to "Sir", 26th November, the endorsement which is not in Pennant's hand refers to the contents of this letter and probably of two others as only the final phrase seems appropriate and is as follows: "Downing 26th Novr 73. Tho: Pennent Esq.? wrote to Royal Society at Upsal-order on White for copy of his Genera of Birds - wishes we could sell the plates, and he wd help to new page them & add drawings of eggs."
