Frederick Robinson, Whitehall to Beckwith, draft
Death of late Town Clerk Mr. Atkinson. Mr. Taylor and Mr. Martin have applied for office. Wrote to Mrs. Allanson for her opinion, she supports Taylor. Robinson has written to the Mayor informing him of choice. Asks Beckwith to inform Taylor of decision & also that Grantham has received his letters [Taylors] & agreed with Lady Robinson.....[letter not concluded]. [See also L 30/15/6/1 & 1a and L 30/15/2/4-5].
