Description

Collection of 781 postcards, comprising 728 published by the Archaeological Survey of India, 41 sold by G. K. Vale and Co, and 12 from the Government Museum, Madras. The A. S. I. postcards were sold in packets, each packet depicting monuments or artefacts from a particular site or region, as follows (all monochrome unless stated): Prints 1-12: Ajanta paintings (colour).
