Folios 466-467. Letter from Charles Wright, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Local Government Board, regarding Hannah Bowden age 14, a pauper child leaving the Workhouse to go into service. The guardians request the Board to sanction the sum of £2 10s to provide her with a suitable set of clothes.
'Proposal of service for a pauper child maintained in the Union Workhouse' form. The pauper is Hannah Bowden age 14, who had last lived at Scarning. She has lived in the workhouse for 14 years. It is proposed that she works for R Savage, Butcher, Bridge Street, St Andrews, Norwich.
