Present: Capt Luby MoS; Mr Saxton Armstrong Siddeley Motors; Sir Marshal Sir A Coryton CS (A); Mr Schoel D/Derd; to name but a few of the 23 attending. General: Power plant installations. It is understood that AD.Eng.RD.2 are now to arrange for necessary contract amendments. Minutes: Mr Allen has further looked into the question of the storage of Nitric Acid and liquid oxygen, and states that by the addition of a nitric acid storage tank, it should be possible to use either nitric acid or liquid oxygen in the existing test house. Sapphire contract position, and test position. General development of after-burner. Flying test beds: AST Lancastrian. HP Hastings. AST Meteor. Canberra to be converted from Avon to Sapphire. Prototype aircraft: Gloster E4/48. HP 35/46. HP 35/46. Vickers B9/48. Hawker F3/48. AWA E16/49. Sapphire future development. Python. Winterisation test in Wyvern aircraft at Edmondton. Westland flight engines ith strengthened airscrew shaft delivered to Westland on 5 April 1950. Lancaster flight engines. Aircraft: Lancaster. Wyvern VP.109, Wyvern VW.867, Wyvern trainer VZ.739. Provisioning of Wyvern for Armstrong Siddeley Motors. Mamba running times. Test position. Trainer type. Civil type. Test position 1270 & 1425 engines. Apollo still grounded. Dakota 18.5 hours flying. Compressor blade failures on both engines. Double Mamba: Test position AS.Ma.D.201 Blackburn flight clearance. Aircraft installation: Fairey GR.17/45. Blackburn GR.17/45. Adder.
