Description (What the record is about)
-
[Cambridge] 2/3 page, typescript
Is sending paper by [F.H.C.] Crick and [J.D.] Watson on nucleic acid for the Proceedings. The work has attracted a lot of attention, "some of it scientific and very pleasing, some of it in the daily press which has not been quite so desirable". Hopes it can be published quickly. None of the work is of a secret nature or has been sponsored by a Government Department, but it was done in the Cavendish Unit which is financed by the Medical Research Council. This is acknowledged in the title.
