Description

LEASE (Cp.) for 3 lives by Rt. Hon. Robert Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer (trustee) to Robert Pike of the city of Chester, baker --- a messuage or tenement with appurts. in WOODHOUSES anciently in possession of one George Smith and now of sd. Robert Pike, and 2 acres of land on a parcel of late waste ground in FRODSHAM cd. the Greenes, with 6 beast gates in a parcel of land there cd. the Lordship Marsh, all now in possession of the lessee; for lives of Elizabeth Pike, widow of George Pike decd., Thomas Pike his son and Robert Pike son of the lessee, at annual rent of 21/3, 2 rent capons or 2/- and heriot of best beast or good or 5 marks. Cons. surrender of former lease (no. DCH/F/873) and £48. Seal, red, crest, a unicorn's head. Parchment.
