Abstract of the will of the late Sir Offley Penbury Wakeman, bart. and of an Indenture of settlement of 24 June 1830

19 Dec. 1848 will of Sir Offley Penbury Wakeman of Perdiswell Hall, Claines, bart, all the houses, farms and lands in Co. Salop to his wife Dame Mary Smith Wakeman, his brother-in-law Henry Smith Adlington and his brother Edward Ward Wakeman and their heirs, to uses:- if any children by his wife, to use that his wife (since decd.) should receive an annuity - as to property in Co. Salop, charged with annuity to wife, subject to trusts of settlement of 24 June 1830 between his late father and mother (1) Sir O.P. Wakeman (2) James Wakeman (3) Thomas White (4) Edward Cludde and Edward Pryce Owen (5). The testator appointed his wife, Henry Smith Adlington and Edward Ward Wakeman executors of his will.

Codicil 13 March 1856 since will his late wife and brother have died leaving Henry Smith Adlington surviving. He had 2 children - Offley Wakeman the elder and Henry Offley Wakeman, the younger. He appointed his sister-in-law Louisa Wakeman the widow of his brother Edward Ward Wakeman, his nephew Offley Francis Drake Wakeman, eldest son of his brother Edward Ward Wakeman and his sister Emily Offley the wife of Captain William Lucius Cary, in place of his wife and brother with H.S. Adlington. Testator died 21 Sept.1858. Probate 24 Dec 1858

Salop property to Thomas White and his heirs forever, on trust to suffer a recovery.
