Description

Conveyance from Alfred Wallace Merrie of Bedford, chemist to Henry Harris of Springfield House, Bedford, surgeon and John Carrington Conquest of Bedford, solicitor as trustees.

Reciting

- death of Adam Merrie 18 Aug 1875 intestate, leaving his eldest son AWM his heir at law

- AWM wished to make provision for his mother Maria Merrie and his brothers and sisters

Witnessing

AWM conveyed to HH and JCC the two tenements now in occupation of Mrs.Merrie and Mr Baker respectively to use of HH and JCC in trust for MM during her life and the siblings of AWM, namely: William Bruce Merrie; Douglas Adam Merrie; Florence Merrie; and Annie Merrie until the youngest reached 21; then with power of sale

The conveyance has a note in pencil of the death of HH on 4 Jun 1878 and is endorsed with a memorandum of sale of 116 Tavistock Street, being the westernmost of the two tenements, by JCC to William Watkins on 9 May 1895
