Comprises the following:. Notebook of astronomical and sun observations dated 1898-1899 and taken on Major A. St Hill Gibbons' expedition to Barotseland. Manuscript: coloured ink and pencil on ruled paper; 16 x 10cm. 'Astronomical Observation Angle Book'. Observations dated 1902-1903 and taken by Captain P. Maud, R.E. on Mr A.E. Butter's expedition to produce a preliminary survey along the Abyssinia - British East Africa boundary. Printed, with manuscript additions in ink and pencil; 19 x 13cm. 4 Traverse Field Books dated 1926-27 containing observations taken by the Anglo-Italian Boundary Commission along the Kenya - Italian Somaliland boundary. Manuscript: coloured ink, pencil and crayon on squared paper; 19 x 22cm. Photographic copy of 'Geographical Mission of Mozambique - Triangulation Vertices (1953)'. Station descriptions. 3 pages. ? Bromide: 33 x 21cm and 26 x 21cm. (DS 331 A; DS 360.1/6; DS 360.1/7).
