Letter of James Blaney, Master of the Lodge held in the Seventy-sixth Regiment, to Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary, requesting that that Deputy Grand Master be informed that they are sorry in taking the liberty of Granting dispensations but they did it with a view to benefit the craft and they thought they had authority to do this following a letter written to them, dated 31 March 1796. Includes copy of paragraph from the aforesaid letter and a list of members, giving details of their names, professions and residence.
