Loose unmounted prints, the majority captioned in ink on the verso. Prints 1-19 Miscellaneous views of Indian trades and occupations and street life, including a potter, fruit seller, dung seller, dhobis, bed maker, barber, a man suffering from elephantiasis, labourers, a dead hyena, a dancer, weavers, a cock fight and a child beggar. Prints 20-22 Hindu funeral scenes. Prints 23-27 Views of a Hindu festival, including procession and feast. Print 28 View at an Indian fair with a type of ferris wheel. Print 29 View of a sadhu lying on a bed of nails. Print 30 Children at a Hindu school. Prints 31-38 Views of bullocks, including carts, ploughing, drawing water and bathing. Prints 39-44 Views of slum dwellers outside a town. Prints 45-65 Miscellaneous ethnographical studies, including Indians from various regions, Tibetans and Chinese. Prints 66-72 Views of Bangalore, including Commercial Street, St Mary's Church, Public Offices, generating station, technical institute and Public Library. Prints 73-97 Miscellaneous views, including an interior of Mysore Palace, military band in Bihar, Golden Temple in Amritsar, Darjiling, rickshaw stand in Singapore, interior of a temple at Abu, Varanasi ghats, a member of the Maharaja's Bodyguard in Mysore, the Bombay-Bangalore train, camp views, an aircraft carrier on the Hugli, and a hospital ward interior.
