The Royal Mecklenburgh Lodge, No. 170 was granted its warrant on the 28 November 1763 and met at a variety of Lodges in London and Surrey throughout their working life. These taverns were as follows. Hermione and Active Frigate, corner of Compton Street, St Ann's, London from 1763, The Cock, New Street, St. James', Westminster, London from 1767, the Red Lion, Hyde Park Corner, London from 1770, Barley Mow, Piccadilly, London from 1777, the Bricklayers Arms, High Street, Croydon, Surrey from 1784, the White Lion Inn, Croydon, Surrey from 1786 and finally, the Green Lion, High Street, Croydon, Surrey from 1796 until the erasure of the Lodge on 10th February 1809.
