Description

Bequests include:- to son Thomas Wilson, messuage, lands and tenements at Selside, now in occupation of George Morley, also estate in Selside bought of George Morley; also messuage where testator lives, with all wearing apparel, money, goods, plate, in Stramongate, Kendal; also two messuages with gardens, orchards and parcel of land adjoining (1a.), one purchased of Samuel Williamson and now in occupation of Robert Dodin and others, the other purchased of brother Thomas Wilson, now in occupation of Dorothy Benson and others, both situate in Stramongate, Kendal; also two messuages adjoining bark house of Thomas Harrison with lands and appurts. now in Stramongate, Kendal, now in occupation of John Skelton and Catherine Attkinson; also parcel of land (9a. 3r.) in Minsfeett, bought of Thomas Ellwood and others; also barkhouse and tannpits at end of Stramongate Bridge; also small messuage and orchard with appurts. in Wildman Street, now in occupation of Thomas Jackson; also all longhouses and land now in occupation of John Robinson and others; all testator's share in Sleddal Hall, in occupation of brother Roger Sleddal and others, in Wildman Street, Kendal; also all quit rents in The Entery and Kirkland of value £4 7s. yearly; also Stockbridge closes purchased of Daniel Thompson and two fields purchased of brother Roger Sleddal, adjoining his barkhouse in Scalthwaterigg which testator gave him by deed; also parcel of land (4a.) in occupation of Widow Shearimond, in Tebay

- To daughter, Mary Wilson, £700

- To daughter, Hannah Wilson, £700

- To daughter Rachel Wilson, £700 at her majority; and annuity of £14 until her majority

- To wife Elliner Wilson, £30 annuity, charged on above real estate, £100 spread over 3 years after decease of testator, in lieu of dower

Executors: friends Isaac Wilson, James Wilson, William Sowden and son Thomas Wilson

Subscription: "This copy agrees with the Probate ... having been examined therewith 15 January 1760"
