Nicholas Sneyd of Bradwall in 20th year 1442 of Henry 6th married/ a miss Downes of Shrigley. His eldest Son was Willm. Sneyd of Chester/ & /Ralph Sneyd, a Col'l. in Charles 1st. Army (died in 1650) married/ Jane Daughter of Roger Downes of Wardley Lancashire.
